Album of the year

Some very special works have been released in 2011. So I decided to keep my ‘Album of the year’ list as short as possible. So instead of listing an inflationary amount of releases I decided to limit it to 10 really special albums (from my very personal point of view) for 2011 – split into two categories.

Wow, incredible list of amazing records. Irrisari, Fjellström, Nest are gorgeous. For me Olan Mill, Max Richter and Erik K Skodvin made it very high :)

Maybe you’re right Tomas, but my budget didn’t allow to buy the Olan Mill, Max Richter and Skodvin albums yet so that I couldn’t include them to the list…

Fantastic list there, one of my other favourites this year is another Hessien – ‘Home Is Where The Ghost Is’. And have to mention Marcus’ – ‘Arctic/Antarctic’

By the way, if you have not laid ears to it already,…I do so humbly recommend an album by Myrmyr called “The Amber Sea”. Breath-taking sonic beauty that should fit nicely within someone’s tops of 2010 somewhere. Don’t take my word. Check out samples over at Boomkat at your earliest convenience.
